SCHOOL SHOOTING

BANG! BANG! BANG! and the shooter, or worse yet – multiple shooters, continue to target innocent children at school until an armed guard (if the school even has one, because most don't) or the police arrive. Does your child, or children, know what to do during an active shooter event for the 2 to 8 minutes before help arrives on scene? The government advises citizens to RUN, HIDE, FIGHT, but doesn’t give any hands-on survival training, especially not to children. Administrators, school teachers, and staff members are given yearly lectures about active shooters, with some schools even getting a little hands-on training, but the training is mostly just to “check the box” covering lockdown procedures, which is turning the lights out and huddling all the children into a corner (if they happen to be in the classroom and not outside at the time), hit the active shooter with an object if they make forced entry, and reunification procedures after the incident, but still not survival training for the children except "be quiet and do what you are told." Sadly, some administrators and teachers don’t want realistic active shooter training because they feel it's “too traumatic” for them emotionally, and so the hands-on training is watered down, if given at all.
Here's the reality. Some administrators and teachers think that all they need to do is call 9-1-1 (provided they don't have an armed Campus Supervisor), and they'll be instantly saved, and that's because they know nothing of the way the police actually do things: the time delay from the 9-1-1 call to the dispatcher and then to the officers, parking the patrol cars a block or two away from the Hot Zone (the area where someone can get injured or killed, also known as the Kill Zone) and walking or running in, the reporting officer assessing the situation and getting that information out to fellow officers, waiting for at least one additional officer to arrive at the scene before tactically moving to the shooter(s), the "fog of war" if the situation becomes more complex than expected, such as a couple well-trained shooters working as a fire team, a terrorist swarm attack (which terrorist organizations have threatened to do in the United States), the presence of explosives, a structure fire, and many other factors that can slow down the response to children. Although it’s sad that we’ve come to this point in our society, the reality is that we are here now and children need to be taught many of the techniques and tactics that combat soldiers are taught for surviving on the battlefield or in urban warfare. Obviously, not the shooting or throwing hand grenades skills that soldiers learn, but your child, or children, can learn how to evade the enemy, cover and concealment, conflict deception, tactical movement, and more – things administrators and teachers know nothing about, and most don't care to know. And, yes, your child may even have to disobey the teacher and save their own skin if the teacher is wrong. The SCHOOL SHOOTING SURVIVAL lesson will teach you (the parent or guardian) how to teach your child, or children (from kindergarten to high school), age-appropriate survival techniques and tactics that wll end up being habits for a lifetime; provided you do your part (that's why you're being taught also) by asking "What if...?" questions and having him or her show you the different techniques and tactics that they were taught on a regular basis.
Plus, all of this training in the lesson also applies to you, the adult, for an office massacre, caught in the crossfire between rival gangs, or a terrorist attack.
HERE'S HOW THE LESSON WORKS
For children in elementary school (kindergarten through 5th grade, ages 5-10) Jim will teach you (the parent or guardian) the "TEACH HIM HOW TO FISH" TRAINING METHOD. You know, from the quote Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach him how to fish and you feed him for a lifetime. Jim will not be teaching your elementary school child, or children, directly. Rather, he’s going to teach you "HOW TO FISH." In other words, you’re the one who is going to teach these easy-to-learn and easy-to-teach techniques, tactics, and training methods, and that's because the mentoring-style, with repetition, is the key to not just having your child, or children, remembering and reveiwing, but being tactical; forging lifelong habits. You just need a one-time lesson (the topic of your choice below) to know how to do it yourself, and a lesson topic only requires you watching the step-by-step demonstrations by Jim, the reasons given as to why things are done a certain way, and getting all your questions answered. For children in middle school (6th through 8th grade, ages 11-13)* Jim will teach you by having you watch the demonstrations, and he will teach your middle school child, or children, directly by having him or her actually do the techniques and tactics, if you believe his or her maturity level and willingness is adequate. If not, then the training will be just for you. For the years to come, it's all up to you (with the help of your training notebook) to be a mentor, and follow through with "What would you do if..." chats, and have him or her show you the techniques and tactics on a regular basis to keep situational awareness and tactical thinking fresh in the mind and reduce reaction time if harm does comes his or her way.
For children in high school (9th through 12th grade, ages 14-18)* Jim will teach you by having you watch the demonstrations, and he will teach your high school child, or children, directly by having him or her actually do the techniques and tactics, If your child, or children, is a senior, then these courses will prepare him or her for college away from home. PRICE $200 for 1 hour and 30 minutes private lesson for 2 parents or guardians (*plus all children within the immediate family included in the price). A lesson includes a detailed lesson outline to use as a reference for years to come, and all the necesary training materials will be supplied by Jim Wagner at the time of the lesson with the opportunity to purchase such training materials if desired. Take two lessons, back to back, and the total price will be $375 for 3 hours of training. For less than the entrance fee for two people at a Southern California theme park, or for the price of a professional physical fitness personal trainer for an hour, you'll get lessons you can't find anywhere else, from world-renowned tactical and self-defense instructor Jim Wagner. GROUP DISCOUNT given for homeschool associations and other organizations. If not now, when?
